從影片可見，當譚文豪議員向警員（已被警司口頭證實為警員）詢問其名字、委任證、警員編號，該警員均拒絕回答。此外，影片中的警員，除了警司一人，均沒有展示其委任證。這說法涉嫌違反《警察通例》(20-14)中指出，便衣人員不論是否當值，在與巿民接觸和行使警察權力時，必須表明身分及出示委任證。
