警方於天橋上舉起最少四枝不斷閃爍的強力發光裝置照向記者鏡頭，使其鏡頭無法拍攝場面，有阻撓新聞編採之嫌。這涉嫌違反警察通例 (39-05)，警務人員應盡可能協助新聞媒體工作者的採訪工作。

【Now新聞台節錄】一批防暴警察突然衝出圍捕太古港鐵站的示威者，在康怡花園出口施放催淚彈，一批警員持警棍追截逃入港鐵站的示威者，在扶手電梯混戰，情況混亂。有警員及示威者在電梯跌倒，部分人被警員制服，按在地上再拘捕。出口位置亦有多名示威者被警員制服及拘捕，被逐一帶上警車。

片中的受訪記者指出，自己在進行採訪時受警方所發射的催淚彈直接擊中手臂。這涉嫌違反《公安條例》第17條中，表明警務人員在阻止公眾聚集舉行，或停止或解散公眾聚集時，只可以使用「合理所需的武力」。而過份武力對待被拘捕人士，在沒有合理辨解下，亦可能違反《侵害人身罪條例》各條。
