張偉國係一名親中人士，曾經係2019年7月11日同高傑飛一齊，喺大埔墟站外對出隧道，襲擊係隧道內寫緊連儂牆嘅人。 根據資料，張偉國擁有沙螺洞村油菜花田，但係種植油菜花田會抽乾土地水份同破壞濕地，因此已經俾政府以「換地」形式強行停止運作。
