有網民發起全球反極權大遊行，大批市民在銅鑼灣聚集，警方中午開始在附近一帶戒備。下午2時許，立法會議員朱凱廸一度與警員理論，又指警員向他施放胡椒噴霧，市民用生理鹽水為他沖洗。警方在駱克道帶走兩名年輕人搜查，其後放行。獲放行的其中一人表示，自己甚麼都沒有做就被警員搜查，質疑是否穿黑衣就要被搜查。另外，有大量防暴警員進入銅鑼灣港鐵站內，部分警員進入車站室。

(a) (b) 警方在極近距離下對群眾發射催淚彈，片中可見催淚彈在群眾身邊爆炸。這涉嫌違反《公安條例》第17條中，表明警務人員在阻止公眾聚集舉行，或停止或解散公眾聚集時，只可以使用「合理所需的武力」。而使用過份武力對待被拘捕人士，在沒有合理辯解下，亦可能違反《侵害人身罪條例》各條之規定。
