2019年9月29日，在修頓球場對出一段軒尼詩道，有速龍小隊成員突然截查一名黑衣市民，命令他伏在地上，並將其手臂屈至背後，被截查人狀甚痛苦。 速龍小隊成員要求男子出示身份證，搜查其背包，並命令圍觀人士離開。該名男子被截查後獲放行。

警方以強光照射示威者，強光嚴重妨礙傳媒採訪，令影片或照片無法清晰紀錄警方的行動。這做法亦涉嫌違反警察通例 (39-05)，警務人員應盡可能協助新聞媒體工作者的採訪工作。

當時的片段所見，警隊的防線未被衝擊，現場亦只看到零星的人群，未見有示威者聚集並大舉攻擊在場的警務人員。但是速龍小隊仍然不斷推進，途中多次以水平角度向市民發射橡膠子彈和布袋彈。這涉嫌違反《公安條例》第17條中，表明警務人員在阻止公眾聚集舉行，或停止或解散公眾聚集時，只可以使用「合理所需的武力」。
